Flash Panorama of Baker Center

Posted by: Zach Wise    Tags:      Posted date:  February 14, 2007  |  8 Comments

This is an experiment using flash to produce a 360 panorama. The panorama is of Baker Center’s Grand Opening during the MASS Ensemble performance. The performance featured a 150-foot-long harp that was stretched from the center’s bottom floor to the fifth floor.

cool. I think it looks really nice. Can’t get the sound to play though.

If you click on the speaker and drag the audio up, you can hear it. Also if you launch the large verison, you will hear it.

Nice. Loaded here with audio no problem. I can’t see any stitching problems worth talking about.

Great stuff. Did you create the Flash pano viewer or did you download/buy one?

I’m using flashpanorama which is built in as3. The ones I’ve built before, I could not get the “lens distortion” to work properly.

I have been looking for a good tutorial on doing virtual (cubic) panos in flash. As well as the recommended equipment. Any ideas?

I am currently using the “Nodal Ninja” and the sigma 8mm lens for my panos. I stitch with PTMac from Kekus. I don’t know of any tutorials on doing them in flash, and this was my first try at doing it with flash. A good tutorial for making a 360 can be found here:

Another program to convert panos to flash is on http://www.pano2QTVR.com – also http://www.immervision.com has a flash player.
