Zach Wise is currently the Senior Multimedia Producer/Editor at the Las Vegas Sun.
Zach was recently a visiting professor in the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University teaching multimedia development and production. While teaching at Ohio University, he was the executive producer on the “Soul of Athens” multimedia project and taught the classes that produced it.

Five miles south of Boulder City, right off US-95, you’ll find a dry lake bed. On Independence Day, the dry lake bed fills with campers, trucks, cars, families and fireworks. Lots of fireworks.
That’s not water, it’s heat. This was shot at one of the lower points in Death Valley where the temperature reached about 121°.
Wordle, a Java applet, creates custom word clouds out of any text, list etc. You can also enter in your del.icio.us username to have it create a cloud.
“Remember Last Night” is a short film I did as an undergrad for class. This was one of the first pieces I ever shot and edited. I think it was done about eight years ago, and DV was fairly new to the market (yeah, it’s that old).
This is a short time-lapse of Stella Lake at midnight. Stella lake is an alpine lake in the Great Basin National Park near Baker Nevada.
I shot this time-lapse a couple of days ago as part of a project I’m working on at the Las Vegas Sun. It seemed like the perfect length for a long photo on Flickr.
