The Soul of Athens is LIVE

For the last 8 weeks, my life and the lives of my 44 students have been wrapped up in this incredible project. I’ve never seen this kind of dedication from a group of students before. If you were to go in to the multimedia lab here at OU in the last couple weeks at 3:00am you would find producers and coders hard at work with signs of heavy caffeine use piled all around them. I think all the hard work paid off, especially the moment after we showed the project to Brian Storm and his response was along the lines of, “****ing Awesome!”.

Besides teaching the classes for this project and acting as the Executive Producer, I also got to shoot and produce a couple of stories.

The stories from this project are amazing, the interface is incredible, the back-end is staggering, and the students are phenomenal. I will talk more about all of this later, but for now enjoy the site and I will enjoy some sleep.

Thirst in the Mojave

Thirst in the Mojave tries to bring a little more web mentality to video but still utilize the linear narrative strengths that make video such a great storytelling tool.
